Ice Cream Social
The Missions Committee is offering an ice cream social on the courthouse square in conjunction with the band concert on Thursday, June 23. They will begin serving at 6:30pm. Please come and show your support. Proceeds will benefit the Shelby County Food Pantry. 

Mission Education Tour
First UMC will house approximately 46 women June 25 and 26. The women will be on a Mission Education Tour sponsored by the UMW of Kansas West Conference, and will be visiting various mission projects, schools, and programs that are United Methodist linked. They will stay overnight Saturday evening, worship with us on Sunday morning before leaving for a day trip, and stay overnight again on Sunday evening.
We will provide them with breakfast and lunch on Sunday and breakfast on Monday. If you'd like to help with any of the meals, please call the church office. 

Health & School Kits

We are colleting ONLY Health and School Kits for UMCOR Sager Brown again at Annual Conference this June. The UMCOR Deport needs 190,000 Health Kits and 77,000 school Kits by the end of the year!
Please remember:
1. No political, patriotic, or religious materials should be included with kit items;
2. Material for school bags must be new;
3. The band-aid size is ¾"x3", even though it is not specified;
4. Items may also be sent in bulk - $1 must be sent for every 10 items. Make checks payable to UMCOR Sager Brown, write "postage" on the memo line, and mail in a separate envelope;
5. Mark plainly on the outside of the boxes the number of kits and type, or how many of each item in bulk.

Kit lists and instructions for assembling School Kit Bags can be obtained from Pastor Ed or the church office. Please bring your completed kits or boxes of items to the church and Pastor Ed will take them with him to Annual Conference.
