Care Ministry Team
First UMC's "Care Team" is active and offers a variety of resources. The team is designed to provide a caring group of individuals that work on a regular and as-needed basis.
Services Provided: Stephen's Ministers; Prayer Group - Bible Study; Prayer Chain; Shut-in Callers; Rides to the City for Appointments; and Financial Assistance in Medical Crisis.
New Library of Books: The Simple Home; Healthy Living; Finding the Time; His Healing Guidance; Tender Guidance; Hope of Heaven; The Person God Made You To Be; The Power of Being Positive; The Joy of Believing in Prayer; Prayers for Every Need - Comfort; Prayers for Every Need - Celebration.
People to Consider Referring to the Team
Lonely; unemployed; disenchanted youth; discouraged parents; grief stricken; stress - personal, marital, or financial; alcohol or drug abusers; overworked; physically/emotionally disabled; abused - mentally or physically; extended friend of family concerns.
All referrals are kept confidential - the whole team will not be notified, only people directly involved. This group is being privately funded, so if anyone would like to make a contribution to this ministry, please designate it on your gift.
