FOOD PANTRY
July 2 is Food Pantry Sunday. Bring canned goods, nonperishable staples or paper products, and place in containers near church entrances.
Needed especially at this time: flour, sugar, powdered milk, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, instant potatoes, Hamburger or Tuna Helper, jelly, pasta sauces, macaroni, spaghetti, laundry soap, bar soap, dish soap, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, and diapers.
COME FOR COFFEE...
UM Church of Nigeria Sunday School Director to Speak
If you have the time, we would encourage you to plan to come to First Church on Wednesday, July 5, at 1:30pm for coffee and some conversation. We have the unique opportunity to hear from Simon Benjamin, the Sunday School Director for the United Methodist Church of Nigeria. Simon will be stopping in Harlan on Wednesday afternoon between visits to Onawa and Anita. He is visiting Iowa and telling of his work. He will speak on the work of the church in Nigeria, his position, and how Ingathering kits are utilized. Plan to attend.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Committees meeting this month are:
Tuesday, July 11 - SPR at 7:00pm;
Thursday, July 13 - Worship at 7:00pm;
Tuesday, July 18 - Education, Finance, and Trustees at 7:00pm; Missions at 7:30pm; Ad Council is at 8:15pm.

SUMMER MUSIC
We will need special music for worship services July 23 through September 3. If anyone is willing, please contact Sandy Carroll at the church office.
